Justyna Konopka, Martyna Kalinowska and Justyna Gawęcka, the members of the Young Student Entrepreneurs Club and the LSUAS Student Council obtained a PLN2,500 subsidy to carry out a project 'Eksplozja kolorów na sportowo' (The Colourful Explosion and Sports).
'It's the first time that the Colourful Explosion comes to Łomża,' says Justyna Konopka. 'It will involve throwing colourful powder into the air. It's great fun, which we want to combine with the zumba marathon. We've also planned other attractions such as sports competitions. Everyone's invited on 2 June at 4.00 pm to the Old Market Square.'
The initiative also engaged the LSUAS students of Nursing, Physical Education, Dietetics, Pysiotherapy, Food Technology and Human Nutrition, as well as Automatics and Robotics. They are going to share their knowledge about healthy lifestyles that they acquired at the University with the participants of The Colourful Explosion.
The Colourful Explosion and Sports is co-financed by the Citizens' Initiative Fund and its aim is to stimulate the general public and promote healthy lifestyles. It is the first initiative of this kind in the area. The idea of obtaining a subsidy came from Magdalena Forfa, Ph.D., the LSUAS Student Council Advisor.
